Year 2

Dear Parents/Carers

I hope you are all safe and well.

Thank you for your continued support during these difficult times. As your child has been asked to self-isolate, we are providing them with learning that can be completed at home. We understand that this is a difficult time and that many parents/carers are working from home and therefore access to technology could be difficult for some children, so we are providing work in a variety of formats.

Paper Based Activities

Attached  are some English and Maths paper based activities that can be printed and completed.

From tomorrow, the children will also be set work daily via Purple Mash.  

Online Learning

Purple Mash is our remote learning platform, all children have had opportunities in school to log on.   The year 2 will be setting work daily via Purple Mash.  This can be found in the 2DO section at the top of the screen and when completed it can be handed in by clicking on the relevant button. The teachers will provide feedback on work completed on Purple Mash or sent to the Year 2 email. 

If you do not know your child’s Purple Mash log-in, then please email the Year 2 teachers.

We have rearranged any events that the Year 2's will be missing whilst they are self isolating.  If they have had their birthday this term, they will celebrate it at our next school birthday party next half term.  The Santa Run will now be on Wednesday 2nd December.

On Thursday or Friday, a Year 2 teacher will ring to speak to your child to see how they are enjoying their home learning.  This will show as a withheld number.
