The Very Hungry Caterpillar Summer 5

We have had a great time learning about The Very Hungry Caterpillar this week in school! We talked about the story and the life cycle of a butterfly.

Ask your grownups to help you complete the following caterpillar challenges! We hope you have lots of fun!

  • Create a butterfly life cycle using different shaped pasta (or draw your own)

  • Here is an example.

Goin' Buggy! | Kindergarten science, Preschool science, Homeschool science

  • Make a paper chain caterpillar

  • The very Hungry caterpillar loves eating lots of food! See if you can try some new foods, these could include fruits and vegetables. You could write a list of the foods you liked or didn’t like. (you could take photos and sent them to the reception email address for all your teachers to see!)

  • Go on a ‘mini beast’ hunt and look for different creatures – will you find any caterpillars or butterflies?

It would be lovely for you to send us more of your home learning to our reception email address. We hope you enjoy completing these activities with your grownups and that you are staying safe.

Remember to keep reading at home!
